How I wish to live a house surrounded by limpid water! From the windows of the house you could see the clear water flowing by. And the fresh smell of the water could make you forget a day’s hard work and feel vigorous again. And the limpid water could bring us green trees, pleasant grass and colorful flowers. Yes, it is like a beautiful drawing. Yes, it is my good dream!
Can this dream come true?
A few years ago, the suZhou river was polluted. But now, with the help of city governments, it becomes clean. So we should save and protect the water.
I do believe ‘house by limpid water’ will come true. In Shanghai the water will become more limpid, the sky more blue, the air more fresh, and the people more healthy. We are sure to have a better city and a better life tomorrow! Let’s study hard and work hard, and wait to enjoy ‘house by limpid water’!

Hi everybody.
Back in the years when I was only six years old or so, I had my first taste of English. It seemed very strange to me. At the very beginning, I was not so interested in this strange language. Moreover, the English TV program always took time away from my cartoon shows. As a result, I started to hate English.
Time flies. Things completely changed at the end of my primary school life. In the last exam of the whole primary school period, I did so well in English that I got a full mark. I found that I could do a perfect job in English if I put my heart on it. This exam seems to be a turning point on my road of studying English and has really inspired me. Although there are still many challenges waiting for me, these setbacks won’t hurt my confidence and will push me to study harder.
Nothing is impossible for willing hearts and I believe, in the future, I can fly as high as I wish to.

We Are The World ，We Are The Future.
Someone said “we are reading the first verse of the first chapter of a book， whose pages are infinite”. I don’t know who wrote these words， but I’ve always liked them as a reminder that the future can be anything we want it to be. We are all in the position of the farmers. If we plant a good seed ，we reap a good harvest. If we plant nothing at all， we harvest nothing at all.
We are young. “How to spend the youth?” It is a meaningful question. To answer it， first I have to ask “what do you understand by the word youth?” Youth is not a time of life， it’s a state of mind. It’s not a matter of rosy cheeks， red lips or supple knees. It’s the matter of the will. It’s the freshness of the deep spring of life.
We all want the future to be better than the past. But the future can go better itself. Don’t cry because it is over， smile because it happened. From the past， we’ve learnt that the life is tough， but we are tougher. We’ve learnt that we can’t choose how we feel， but we can choose what about it. Failure doesn’t mean you don’t have it， it does mean you should do it in a different way. Failure doesn’t mean you should give up， it does mean you must try harder.
As what I said at the beginning， “we are reading the first verse of the first chapter of a book， whose pages are infinite”. The past has gone. Nothing we do will change it. But the future is in front of us. Believe that what we give to the world， the world will give to us. And from today on， let’s be the owners of ourselves， and speak out “We are the world， we are the future.”

I am Chinese. I am proud of being a Chinese with five thousand years of civilization behind. I've learned about the four great inventions made by our forefathers. I've learned about Zhang Heng and I've learned about Zheng He says the Yellow River Civilization has vanished?I know that my ancestors have made miracles on this fertile land and we're still ma-ki-ng miracles. Who can ignore the fact that we have established ourselves as a great state in the world, that we have devised our own nuclear weapons, that we have successfully sent our satellites into space, and that our GNP ranks No. 7 in the world? We have experienced the plunders by other nations, and we have experienced the war. Yet, based on such ruins, there still stands our nation----China, unyielding and unconquerable!
I once came acroan American tourist. She said, “China has a history of five thousand years, but the US only has a history of 200 years. Five thousand years ago, China took the lead in the world, and now it is the US that is leading.”My heart was deeply touched by these words. It is true that we're still a developing nation, but it doesn't mean that we can despise ourselves. We have such a long-standing history, we have such abundant resources, we have such intelligent and diligent people, and we have enough to be proud of. We have reasons to say proudly： we are sure to take the lead in the world in the future again, for our problems are big, but our ambition (雄心) is even bigger, our challenges are great, but our will is evengreater.
I am Chinese. I have inherited black hair and blackeyes. I have inherited the virtues of my ancestors. I have also taken over responsibility. I am sure, that wherever I go, whatever I do, I shall never forget that I am Chinese!

Everone has merits and shortcomings. we need to discover our disadvantages and get rid of it . However, Lookers-on see most often.So mentors are necessary.In elementary school, I didnt know the importance of studying.I just know playing all day.One day my english teacher told me (that) she thought I was a intelligent boy.I was shocked by what she said.I didnt do well in my english subject at that time.I was encouraged by what she said.In other words,what she said made me exicted.Since then,I fell in love with English.I started to read some English novels and listen to music.My english teacher taught me patiently and encouraged me to insist on doing these.I was interested in english.I found it was easy to learn english.It doest like I thought it would be difficult.Maybe I had talent in learning english.However,if I dont listen to my english teacher.Maybe I would get lost.
Everybody should have confidence in discovering yourselves,although it is a difficult journey.When there is a will,there is a way.
