When I was a naughty boy, may be because of theinfluence of the film."xxiao Bing Zhang Ga",my dreamwas to be a soldier just like Zhang Ga. I thought if Iwas a soldier, I should be able to swim, dive andclimb trees as he did. It seemed to be verywonderful. So I began to learn swimming, diving andclimbing trees. I practiced every day and finally Icould do them well. But when I entered junior highschool and had the military training. I suddenlyfound that being a soldier was very difficult and Iwasnt strong enough to bear it . I had to give mydream up.
But I wasnt discouraged, and I had new aim, which was to be a postman, or rather to bea newspaper boy. As a newspaper boy. I could speed along streets on a bike and thrownewspapers onto every porch. Thats also very cool. So I started learning to ride a bicycle. After the everyday practice, I could go very fast by bicycle. But to my disappointment, the jobwhich I wanted only exxisted in western counties not in China, because there was no porch inChina. And Chinese postmen had to stuff very thick newspapers into very small mailboxxes fromvery narrow entrances. The job was far from what I had exxpected. So once again my dream fellthrough.
Perhaps you have had the same exxperience as I and most of your dreams havent cometrue yet. But I think it doesnt matter, because if you have a dream, youll make many effortsto realize it. This course is reallly important. If I hadnt dreamt of being a soldier or anewspaper boy. I wouldnt have learned to swim, to dive, to climb trees or to ride a bicycle.Even if our dream cant come true, youll learn much from the efforts you have made. Sowhat I want to tell us is that dream helps us to grow up and teaches us how to control ourlives . It is dream that gives us power and makes our lives colorful.
Ladies and Gentlemen, Good afternoon! I?m very glad to stand here and give you a short speech. Today my topic is “youth”. I hope you will like it, and found the importance in your youth so that more cherish it.
First I want to ask you some questions:
1、 Do you know what is youth?
2、 How do you master your youth?
Youth is not a time of life, it is a state of mind; it is not rosy cheeks, red lips and supple knees, it is a matter of the emotions: it is the freshness; it is the freshness of the deep springs of life. Youth means a temperamental predominance of courage over timidity of the appetite, for adventure over the love of ease. This often exists in a man of 60 more than a boy of 20. Nobody grows old merely by a number of years. We grow old by deserting our ideals.
Years wrinkle the skin, but to give up enthusiasm wrinkles the soul. Worry, fear, self –distrust bows the heart and turns the spirit back to dust.
Whether 60 of 16, there is in every human being?s heart the lure of wonders, the unfailing childlike appetite of what?s next and the joy of the game of living. In the center of your heart and my heart there?s a wireless station: so long as it receives messages of beauty, hope, cheer, courage and power from men and from the infinite, so long as you are young.
When the aerials are down, and your spirit is covered with snows of cynicism and the ice of pessimism, then you are grown old, even at 20, but as long as your aerials are up ,to catch waves of optimism , there is hope you may die young at 80.
Thank you!
The classmates:
Hello, everyone. Today, the topic of my speech is: friendship.
Whether sentimental verse, beautiful article, or the joy of leisure, what all can't take the place of close friendship. This is Russia - the famous writers pushkin said a word. Friend, have you ever thought about, honest valuable, the friendship is the normal psychological need. A famous British writer made such an analogy: "if you have an apple, I have an apple, each other exchange, so, everyone has only one apple; if you have a thought, I have a thought, exchange each other, and each of us has two ideas, even more than the two thoughts." It is enough to prove, the friendship makes one share more joy and happiness, help resolve problems and sad, also can promote our progress.
Among friends, however, must be in trouble. Can not stand the test of not a true friendship. Therefore, the most precious friendship is this: when a friendneed to help them with sincere friendship to remove the worry, dissolve the depressed, build up confidence and overcome the difficulties.
Sincere friendship is what everyone desire, but what kind of friendship is sincere? Is genuine equality between friends, help mutual understanding, have a common pursuit. "Sincerity is the hotbed of friendship." We only in sincere to establish on the basis of equality friendship and keep it up. Help mutual understanding is the most basic content of friendship. Dickens once said that forgiveness is a noble quality, a noble virtue. China has an old saying well said "simultaneous corresponding, sympathies." Good, common pursuit is spiritual bond, unite the people closely together.
Can make the miles of space that intervene between a man and close friendship, the friendship can make our days together as flowing, the friendship can leave on the way we passed the deep foot sakura when young time of reincarnation gently slip from our side, leaving traces of is meaningful. That is precious memories of Egypt
Friend, please treat every friend around you, that is always sincere in your spiritual wealth.

If I speak in the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. If I give all I possess to the poor and surrender my body to the flames, but have not love, I gain nothing.
Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs.
Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away. For we know in part and we prophesy in part, but when perfection comes, the imperfect disappears. When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I put childish ways behind me. Now we see but a poor reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known. And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.
It hurts to love someone and not be loved in return. But what is more painful is to love someone and never find the courage to let that person know how you feel.
A sad thing in life is when you meet someone who means a lot to you, only to find out in the end that it was never meant to be and you just have to let go.
The best kind of friend is the kind you can sit on a porch swing with, never say a word, and then walk away feeling like it was the best conversation you've ever had.
the first time i saw bao was in , the year when thomas and uber cup was held. at that time he was playing against li zongwei, who is also a good player from malaysia. bao beat him. to tell the truth, at first the reason why i liked him was just because i thought he was pretty.*(maybe it is not a suitable word, but i think no better word can describe him, he is really pretty!) from that time, i have focused on him. then gradually, i found that he not only has good appearance, but also has a talent for badminton.
he is very tall, about 1.90 meters. he is the tallest one among all the players in the chinese badminton team. in , he is chosen as the flag holder stands for china in the opening ceremony in the 15th asian games held in doha. it was the first time that the badminton players were chosen to take over the special task, before which time, it belonged to the basketball players. it was a great honor. and it also proved that bao was an excellent athlete. we are all proud of him.
he began to play badminton when he was at primary school. in , he won his first good medal, which was significant to him, in guangzhou. because of that, he entered the chinese badminton team. as he is as old as lin dan, who is the top one in the world, he is always put into a situation wh(。)ich is not good to him. he seldom beats lin dan, so he gained a name which is called’千年老二’. in fact, his techniques are comprehensive, but he is lack of passion, the desire to win is not so strong. so he always has misplays. due to this, he seldom wins the gold medal. i think this is related to his character. he is easygoing and couth; he looks as if he will never get angry with anybody. so this affects him while he is playing badminton. in a period of time, critical voice has come towards him. he is under great pressure. he was not in the best state. but recently he cheers up again. several days ago, the chinese badminton championship was held in guangzhou. i went to see him on saturday. i was very excited, and i shouted loudly, hoping he could hear me. there is no doubt that he won the game. before he went away, he waved hand to us, how excited i was at that time! the next day, he beat li zongwei again and he won the man’s single gold medal. all of us are very happy. after 7 years, which could be a long time for an athlete, he proved himself again in guangzhou, which is considered as his lucky place.
The Importance of Keeping Optimistic
Honourable judges, ladies and gentlemen, Good afternoon! Today I would liketo talk about the importance of keeping optimistic. When we encounterdifficulties in life, we notice that some of us choose to bury their heads inthe sand. Unfortunately, however, this attitude will do you no good, because ifyou will have no courage even to face them, how can you conquer them? Thus, beoptimistic, ladies and gentlemen, as it can give you confidence and help you seeyourself through the hard times, just as Winston Churchill once said, “Anoptimist sees an opportunity in every calamity; a pessimist sees a calamity inevery opportunity.”
Ladies and Gentlemen, keeping optimistic, you will be able to realize, inspite of some hardship, there’s always hope waiting for you, which will lead youto the ultimate success. Historically as well as currently, there are too manyoptimists of this kind to enumerate. You see, Thomas Edison is optimistic; ifnot, the light of hope in his heart could not illuminate the whole world. AlfredNobel is optimistic; if not, the explosives and the prestigious Nobel Prizewould not have come into being. And Lance Armstrong is also optimistic; if not,the devil of cancer would have devoured his life and the world would not see a5-time winner of the Tour De France. A rose may be beautiful, or maybe not; thatdepends on your attitude only, and so does success, so does life. Hindrances anddifficulties do exist, but if you are optimistic, then they are only episodes onyour long way to the throne of success; they are more bridges than obstacles! Now I prefer to end my speech with the great British poet Shelley’s lines: “Ifwinter comes, can spring be far behind? Thank you!

They do believe in afterlife. But I can't help asking: Suppose there were no afterlife, would you still do good deeds and strive for virtues? And If God does not see what you are doing, would you still be so upright and selfless? If you work, not for serving the public and liberating the others, but just for a better afterlife of your own, isn't it a little too selfish? Comparing with this kind of believers, those who don't believe in afterlife, but still keep doing good deeds, are the most sincere and honest philanthropists, because they do them not for themselves but for other.
You may wonder if I believe in afterlife. My answer is: I know nothing about my previous life, so I dare not make improper comments on afterlife. But I do hope there's afterlife! Because our present life is so short that so many things slip away before our proper understanding. I have so many dreams, so many wishes, so many ambitions, as well as so many regrets and concerns. If there were no afterlife, all of them will remain unrealized!
I'm not contented with the present commonplace life, I'm very much attached to the affections that should have been mine but have been washed away by the hurrying time, and I yearn for the perfection and maturity if I could start all over again. So believe it or not, I'd rather there were afterlife.

Dear teachers:
I’m very glad to say something here. Today, my topic is -----I wish.
Every person has many beautiful dreams, so do I.
I wish that I have a good friend who has magic power like Dora A Dream. He could give me anything which I want, such as Maliang’s paintbrush.
I wish I could use it to help others. Such as I could draw the coats for the poor men when it’s cold, I could draw the food for them when they’re hungry, and I could draw a house for them, too.
I wish that my dream will come true someday.
Thank you.
In China, Spring Festival is one of the most important festivals. It is also getting more and more popular in some foreign countries. When Spring Festival comes, it means that a new year comes, and people grow a year older. During the festival, it is very crowded throughout the country.
On the eve of Spring Festival, parents get food, clothes and Spring Festival's goods prepared. The people who work outside come back, and the whole family gets together to have meals and say goodbye to the last year, and welcome the New Year. After the meal, they wait until midnight comes. They set off fireworks then.
On the first morning of the Spring Festival, everyone wears their new clothes and then go to other's homes to celebrate the New Year. Each family sets off fireworks when their guests come, and they take out sweets and peanuts to share. On the following days, they go around to their relatives and friends. The Spring Festival has several meanings. It means people working outside can come back to relax themselves, a new year begins. When spring comes, farmers begin to plant crops and people make a plan for the New Year.
All the people throughout the world pay much attention to it. Our country of course holds some national celebrations to celebrate it. This most traditional festival in China will go on being celebrated in the future.
My speech is over. thank you.
Good morning, dear teacher and my friends.
It’s a very intresting topic today.
I think my dad was a hero for me when i was a young child. we'd go fishing, walks, and other fun things for a kid.
Every child has a good and great father, and so do i. my dad played a very important role in my daily life——exactly speaking, in my past 16 years.
My father always stands in the center of my life, from past till now and possibly in the future.
My family was rather poor when i was in my childhood. we didn't have our own house and had to live in a shabby, small room rented from my father's factory. the room was so small that there was little space for people to walk. i didn't have my own bed and had to sleep with my parents. this is terrible both for my parents and me.
But father made this all different!he works very hard on his own business, now we have our own 2 housese, surly,i have my own room.and he take our family so much happiness, richer and richer.
When i was little, i did everything with my dad. you could always find me sitting on his knee or walking and doing everything with him. every night he would read me a bed time story and make the voices of each character.
I learnt a lot from my daddy. i learnt to never take things to seriously and to always smile.
Like many other fathers, my dad and i also has generation gap. he is not good at or even can’t work the computer. so when i sitting at the computer desk,he will say something like ‘you should pay more attention to your study’,‘don’t waste time on the computer games’ , ‘it will be bad for your eyes’ and so on. how can i- a computer fan – reduce time on computer? so i continue studying and playing on it
Years pasted, my father is over 45 now. it is time for me to look after him and i am sure i will do and we will live an even better life. and i will say,i really love you dad, cause you are the hero in my mind.
Thank you so much!
